Can I put Vortec heads on a 350 TBI block?
The heads will bolt to the block fine but you will need a specific intake manifold. Either the gm TBI/vortec intake or a vortec intake for carbs and use an adapter for the tbi. If you use the carb intake you will loose the EGR. You can keep it with the gm intake.

Can I use a Vortec intake on a TBI truck?
I wouldnt use this intake on a TBI truck because you can use a Vortec style carb intake with the TBI unit on top of it using an adapter plate. If I had a TBI truck that i wanted to use Vortec heads on, I would use the Edelbrock Vortec style Performer RPM Airgap ijtake manifold.

To get mor elift on teh stock Vortecs, either you have to machine for a larger spring pocket, machine for more retainer valveseal clearance and machine and install screw in studs, it may be cheaper to just buy the Bowtie Vortec head in the 1st place.
